FIRST INTERNATIONAL JEWISH HEALING RETREAT FOR COUPLES IN ISRAEL The JBFCS National Center for Jewish Healing, the National Association of Jewish Chaplains, and Tishkofet/Life’s Door of Jerusalem are joining in sponsoring the first International Jewish Healing Retreat for couples in which one partner has been through serious illness. Roughly 30 couples from the U.S. will join 30 Israeli couples in a five-day experience in the Galilee and Jerusalem, July 6-11, 2008. Weaving together workshops on subjects such as Improving Communication and Managing Stress, lectures and courses by leading medical and spiritual care professionals, massage therapy, visits to sites of historical and religious power as well as natural beauty, the celebration of Israel’s 60th year of independence, and more, it promises to be a most unusual experience of growth and healing.
