Our Mission

The NAJC is the professional organization of Jewish chaplains worldwide. We are the address for Jewish chaplaincy expertise promoting the highest standards of training, certification and delivery of care.

We set certification standards and certify qualified Jewish chaplains.

We promote ongoing education of Jewish chaplains, offer seminars, y'mei iyun and national conferences for professional growth.

We advocate on behalf of Jewish chaplains and Jewish chaplaincy programs to offer professional chaplaincy, rabbinic and cantorial associations, seminaries and the community.

We serve as a clearinghouse for professional part-time and full time chaplaincy positions.
